Connie Fleming is considered a New York City nightlife legend.  She has walked runways for celebrated fashion designers and been photographed by many of the most influential fashion photographers of the 20th century. 

Less well known is that Connie is also an exceptionally talented illustrator.  Her first solo show offers an empowering look at her body of work as a visual artist.  

This black and white, pencil and ink illustration series began in spring of 2020, when a vast majority of the world was in the earliest grip of the global pandemic.  Connie channeled her energy during this uncertain and difficult period into these illustrations, a study on beauty across all genders.  The strength of the shading and tonality, as well as the features and details of the subjects are simply hypnotic.
