We are very proud to welcome German photographer Sven Marquardt to Montreal for a very intimate daytime Q&A at our Centre. Having presented a photo installation in our theatre, Sven, who is arguably most famous for his role as doorman at Berlin’s famed Berghain nightclub, will also detail lesser known aspects of his life growing up as a photographer in the former GDR and the punk/new wave scene of East Berlin at the time.
The talk will be moderated by Montreal-based film maker Lysanne Thibodeau. A resident of Berlin from 1982-1996, Lysanne was heavily involved in the punk and music scenes of that period, both as a film maker and musician.
This talk is presented in collaboration with: Goethe-Institut Montreal / Moog Audio
