BRAIDS are Arbutus darlings Raphaelle Standelle, Austin Tufts, and Taylor Smith who all have quite the penchant for good eats. When they’re not touring the world they’re probably rehearsing or recording here in Montreal, and the daily congregation before studio usually involves some sort of meal.

We asked the band to bring us to one of their most frequented lunch spots. Unfortunately, Bombay Mahal was closed for renovations, but Restaurant Maison Indian Curry House right across the street was most definitely a suitable back up— armed with a most delicious lassi and atomic vindaloo.
